Carlos Neto is a seasoned professional in the restaurant industry, having worked in the field since 1983. His journey began as a kitchen assistant in Jersey, UK, where he quickly developed a passion for the culinary arts. He then moved on to work as a wine waiter at the Grand Hotel in Jersey, where he discovered his love for pairing food and wine.
In 1990, Carlos moved to London to work at Cafe Royal in Piccadilly, where he gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry. He later moved to Hertfordshire to work as a restaurant manager at Pinks Hotel, where he honed his skills in managing a team and providing excellent customer service.
Carlos's passion for food and menus led him to work as a head chef at Martini in St Albans, where he experimented with different flavors and suggested wine pairings to complement the dishes. This experience inspired him to open his own restaurant, Cafe Portugal, where he served traditional Portuguese cuisine and drinks.
After a few years, Carlos decided to explore new opportunities and joined Mitchell's and Butlers in 2011 as a head chef. He worked in various branches of the company across the UK, gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way. He even obtained a certified steak school certificate by Miller and Carter, showcasing his dedication to his craft.
Throughout his career, Carlos has been passionate about providing excellent service and creating memorable dining experiences for his customers. He continues to inspire and mentor young chefs, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of culinary professionals.
